Training Grounds

Ridgewood Kennels has access to a wide variety of properties covering hundreds (thousands ?) of acres which allow for exposure to virtually any and all hunting and training situations. Some of these properties have large, open tracts of land for working on long marks or blinds. Other properties have heavy cover suitable for precision marking or upland work. The terrain varies from large flats, to mounds and large hills.

Training in water is available year around with a large range of options, including small ponds in wooded locations, to shallow marsh areas, to large open deep water lakes, to river channels and creeks. Some of the ponds have been built by Ridgewood Kennels and are specifically designed to teach particular "technical concepts".
