Boarding, Kenneling, & Stud Services

This service is available to owners who need a temporary place to keep their dogs. For example, if you are going on vacation during the summer, you might choose to have your dogs boarded at our kennels. Another common reason for boarding your dog might be that you have a female in season and wish to seperate her from male dogs and avoid the chance of an accidental pregnacy.

Dogs boarded at Ridgewood Kennels are kept in clean, individual dog runs and are given daily excerise. They are fed a high quality dog food and are provided plenty of fresh, clean water.

All dogs boarded at Ridgewood Kennels are required to provide proof of current vaccinations for DHLPP, Bordetella (canine 'kennel' cough) and Rabies at time of admittance to the kennel. Your veterinarian will be able to provide you with the appropriate certificates (usually at no additional cost)

While Ridgewood Kennels does not currently have stud dogs of its own, occasionally we will have several client dogs which you may choose to use as a sire for your next planned litter. In these cases, Ridgewood Kennels will provide a suitable location for the breeding. The only cost for this service is the standard boarding charges for your female. The stud fee is a matter between you and the owner of the sire. In addition to the normal veterinary certificates, a certificate of a recent (within 10 days) innoculation for canine brucellosis is also required.
