Puppy Head-Start

This program is designed for the owner who would like their retriever to get a head start on basic obedience and marking. Ridgewood Kennels accepts only two puppies at a time for this very special training program. The puppy lives in our home for a 2-week session where it receives the special one-on-one attention. It is socialized by exposure to people, birds, other dogs. In addition, it is introduced to gunfire and swimming water, as well as the routine of everyday training.

By being exposed to this array of environmental situation, the puppy is allowed to develop in a happy, stimulating manner which will make further training easier and more pleasurable.
